**Why I Am A Member Of The Church Of Christ**

**What is the Church of Christ?**
As a religious body, the Church of Christ is neither Catholic nor Protestant, for it strives today to be just as it was 1900 years ago - to preach the same Gospel - to urge obedience to the same conditions of salvation.

When we become Christians just as believers did in the beginning, we become, as did they, undenominational Christians! Christians in that day were void of titles of denominational distinction.

**The Aim of Undenominational Christians**
The Church of Christ exalts Christ and His doctrine. It rejects all disciplines, confessions of faith, creeds and catechisms written by uninspired men. Members of the Church of Christ seek the restoration of the Apostolic Church. Going back beyond the centuries of departure from the basic teachings of Christ (long before Catholicism and Protestantism were known), we endeavor to make the Church today as it was in the beginning.

In the New Testament, the Lord has provided a complete Church pattern: name, doctrine, organization, worship, and mission. The sincere desire of the Church of Christ is to conform to this divine pattern.

* Jesus is our Perfect Example - we are simply trying to be like Him in everything we do

We claim to be Christians only - nothing more and noting less. We get together each week to worship God, study the Bible, and enjoy fellowship with each other.
